With pristine lakes and 65 miles of trails, California’s Mission Trails Park offers nature’s respite from nearby San Diego. Elongated diamond shapes echo the low mountains and deep canyons of the park’s 7,200 acres. These shapes are interspersed with a mirrored motif of five peaks to represent the Mission Trails Five Peak Challenge, a climbing event that attracted 15K hikers to the park’s mountains: Cowles Mountain, Pyles Peak, Kwaay Paay, South Fortuna, and North Fortuna.
